Vintage 1970s Black Chalcedony (Black Agate) Snuff Bottle with a unique "eye" feature. The flattened globular shaped bottle is entirely black, except for an oval-shaped open "eye" (1 inch long). Black chalcedony, also known as Black Onyx, is an artificially colored gemstone. The pale gray "eye" is an accidental result, best described as "Shibui" (unexpected beauty). Features a red jasper cap on a round black disk with a tightly fitted cork. Dating: Post 1970's Dimensions: 2 inches wide, 1 inch deep, and 3 inches high. As-is.
