Creating a safe, dynamic culture
Safety
Safety is how we run the work. From planning and phasing to the last day of restoration, we protect our crews, our partners, and the traveling public on every job.
Safety first
Our safety program
FGC’s safety program is built for active corridors. We start with clear planning, daily field coordination, and accountability at every level so risks are identified early and controlled before work begins.
We plan with a full-corridor view
Working in South Florida means tight right-of-way, heavy traffic, utilities everywhere, and people moving around the site all day. We look at the whole corridor, not just the work area. That includes access for residents and businesses, pedestrian paths, deliveries, school zones, and emergency response. We plan safety into the sequence, not as an afterthought.
We lead with training and communication
Safety starts with expectations that are clear and consistent. We use pre-task planning, toolbox talks, and daily field conversations to align crews, subcontractors, and inspectors on the day’s risks and controls.
We watch out for each other
Every person on site has the authority to speak up and stop work when something doesn’t look right. We’d rather pause, reset, and continue safely than push through a situation that puts people at risk.
